POLITICAL ACTION
LCDW partners with the Loudon County Democratic Party (LCDP) to promote Democratic candidates and voter participation in elections.
HOW WE HELP
1
Recruit Poll Workers & Watchers
If you are interested in becoming a poll worker or a poll watcher, please contact us or contact Susan Harrison, Loudon County Election Commission.
2
Direct Action on Issues
Writing letters as a club to legislators on topics of concern, letters to the editor of local newspapers, and having a presence at local government meetings.
3
Participation in Local Events
The LCDW takes part in many community activities to support our community. Events such as Riverfest, Cool Down in Down-Town, and 4th of July Parades show our Democratic spirit and help to spread the word.
4
Facilitate Voter Registration
LCDW promotes voter registration through various means throughout the year.
5
Organize Candidate Forums
During election years, the LCDW plans to present the candidates and their proposals to the public so that voters may have their questions answered.
6
Support Campaigns
The LCDW does post card writing campaigns and phone banking for Democratic candidates at the local ad state level.
